365

What does a photographer do when they are looking for something new to do? I surf the internet for inspiration and ideas and come along Project 365. A photo every day for 365 days? Now that looks like something really interesting! Albeit a bit daunting once the entire idea soaks in. I’m taking on this project to see where it can take me in my journeys as a photographer and as a person. There will be days where I’m full of inspiration and days where I will have none. Either way, the photos will show me where I’ve been and where I’m going.

Woodlands Waterway | 104

February 12, 2012

The Woodlands Waterway is especially nice for an evening walk; even when it's sleeting.

Aaron Gist Lamp | 103

February 11, 2012

This Aaron Gist lamp made in Salado feels like it was taken right off the set of a Tim Burton film. Love the metalwork and off kilter style.

Computer Circuitry | 102

The intricacies of modern day PCBs (printed circuit boards) are so complex that it amazes me what engineers can design into such small areas.

Rose by Candlelight | 101

The knockout roses are already blooming from this mild winter, so I decided to paint this one with candle light.

Flying Nails | 099

When I was a child I would visit my Uncle Fred's house and he would take me out back to his shop. In there was a world of wonderment to a boy's eyes. He was a bit of a tinkerer and would make all sorts things with nails like this bird. Flick the wings and off it would fly.

Hands of Time | 098

I sometimes look at my hands and wonder what stories they'll be able tell during the twilight years of my life.

New Orleans street artist Ricco Rideaux paints the finishing touches to several pieces of his work. I have a painting of his hanging in my house from a previous trip exploring around Jackson Square.
