You know there's some good BBQ at the Drewery if the sign is on. Drew made short ribs, St. Louis-style ribs and baby back ribs. All prepared with various rubs and cooking styles. So, so tasty!

Why does Indian food taste so much better as leftovers? This is a Korma curry with chicken, red potatoes and carrots on a bed of basmati rice.

Bread pudding is one of my favorite deserts and has now become a requested dish at dinner parties. I deviated a bit with this recipe by combining ideas from Giada De Laurentiis and America’s Test Kitchen. Namely switching from panettone to challa bread. I brought  the “Death by Chocolate” bread pudding to a dinner party untasted. Luckily it was a hit! The small pieces of chocolate melted in your mouth as the amaretto sauce added a kick to the flavor. I definitely think this is the direction I’m going to take my bread pudding recipe. Indian Chicken Curry

My crock pot has been neglected lately and I wanted to try something a little different. I found an Indian chicken curry recipe that was a bit more complex than the standard Indian recipes I cook. Mind you my cooking is fairly limited, so complexity of recipes is relative to my lack of culinary skill.

The aromas coming from the crock pot filled the house with wonderful smells. Hints of coconut with the curry definitely made my mouth water waiting for the dish to finish. The taste was quite splendid with just a hint of spice. I think I will try to spice it up a bit more next time. Read more »
